The competition was held at the Carroll High School Theatre on June 13, 2009. Melissa  competed with 31 delegates from across the Lone Star State in Interview, Swimwear and Eveningwear.  Mrs. Texas won a custom evening gown from Frankie Couture, an entire wardrobe for her time at Mrs. America from Alberto Makali, the official  gold and diamond “Mrs. Texas” necklace from Ballerina Jewelers, plus much more.
